PRESIDENT’S ANNOUNCEMENTS  12 JULY 2016

Great farewell to Kat last Friday night at the Thirsty Crow – some 30 all together attended. Kat was quite teary again.

Yesterday about 20 of her school mates farewelled her at the airport – with the Fullers, Wallaces, Robertsons, Dave Foster and yours truly.

Kat had a great impact on Rob and Suzanne Fuller’s six year old son, Jack. He did not want her to go home to Sweden.

Sprout and About was cancelled due weather and state of the ground at the lagoon.

We are seeking guest speakers – an email was sent to all seeking assistance in nominating speakers.

Our first Board Meeting for the year is on next Monday evening here at the Commercial Club at 5.30pm.
All directors are requested to submit their reports to Gerry and myself by email this week to enable reporting and discussion.
I will send out agenda today and a copy of the minutes of the last meeting. Jim Gibson is to fill in for David Pyke, please.

Subject to the weather, I plan to be away next Monday and Tuesday – not a good sign for my second week in office,
but I have a very important task to do – pick up the new plane with my son James.
Neither of us have flown this type before so we will need to do some training and familiarisation before flying it home to Wagga.
Geoff Hamilton has very kindly agreed to step in and conduct the Board meeting and meeting next Tuesday.

Next week our guest speaker is Tom Black from Tumut who is the regional co-ordinator for Austyouth. He will be speaking to us about youth homelessness.
