OUR MEETING-7th June
President Geoff welcomed the Ladies, members and guests with this observation;
We welcomed:
Clare Leylor who is the President of the Rotoract Club and is studying Accounting at CSU.
Meets every second week at the RSL Club Bistro, and is seeking new members aged between 18 and 30yrs old.
Kerry Pascoe was seated next to David Byfield, just back from a week of golf with Peter Crozier and Pat Ingram.
David may have been giving some info to Kerry about his some 31 years of 100% attendance.
Injuries for the week are David Benn doing the cancer treatment and Pat Ingram a few weeks away from surgery for Dupuytren's disease.
Kat enjoyed a weekend of football in Melbourne or Sydney.
James Hamilton gave a Rotary Information Session on attendance. Please refer to the website for the guidelines.
SERGEANTS SESSION
Paul Milde was unrelenting in fining Neil Pinto, Frank Fuller, Tim Barter, Laurie Blowse, Greg Conkey, Travis Downey, John Egan, Robert fuller, Geoff Hamilton, James Hamilton, Steve McCoy, Phil McIntosh, Kerry Pascoe, David Pyke, James Ross and Peter Crozier for photos and stories in the DA or on the Tele.
John Gray, Michael Georgiou and Andy Irvine for not farming free range eggs and supplying to Woolies.
Michael Knight for the BBQ on Saturday and Paul Murray for the flying school.
James Ross did the collections for Paul.
President Elect for two more weeks, Geoff Bruest is chasing any member changes to the draft duties list emailed out on Tuesday, to please get back to him prior to the 28th, when they will be set in concrete.
Darren Wallace gave the meeting a member update.
Has been a member at Wollundry for 6 years, and he and Kath have been in Wagga for 20 years.
His 3 children all left home about three years ago.
Laura is 25 and an exec in Sydney.
Ben is 22 and at uni doing Mechanical Engineering.
Maddie is 23 and doing Interior architecture at uni.
Along with the Hillis's, Darren and Kath set up 'Help Cambodia' last year and is about to visit there in November for the first time.
Darren is enjoying Rotary, and especially Youth Exchange and Rypen at Borambola which, with the help of Daniel Burns, is about to undergo a massive change in the way it is run.
A new Youth Leadership Program is being set up for identified leaders who have already been through the program, to run RYPEN.
