Sergeant Peter Clucas Sergeant Peter invited Phil McIntosh and Tim Barter to carry the box because (allegedly) they knew cycling terminology. Peter then asked various tables cycling questions like What is a bonk? What is a sticky bottle? What is tanked? Of course no-one knew the answers let alone the two cycling experts. Peter then abandoned this quiz and fined all Richmond supporters and his best friends who travelled to Melbourne with him to visit Geoff Hamilton. They had a good day with Geoff who is battling leukemia and passed on the best wishes of the club. Rotary Information Rick Priest repeated his questioning style of Rotary Information. This time Phil McIntosh correctly answered that there are six Rotary Clubs in Wagga viz; Wagga, South Wagga, Kooringal, Wollundry, Sunrise and Murumbidgee. Pat Ingram was able to correctly answer that our Club Wollundry was chartered in 1978. John Smith was asked what is the number of our club. Only Paul Murray knew that we are club number 18,121. He wants members who do, to be willing to work longish hours at the food and wine festival. Members who wish to do the course should contact Laurie. Laurie is also looking for a volunteer who is willing to do some hack work for the food and wine festival- obtaining forms, completeing applications etc. Men's Health John Egan wants 6 volunteers to assist with managing the MHERV van which will be stationed at Bunnings on 14th and 15th November. He is also looking for a couple of volunteers to go to Narrandera to collect the van and put it at Bunnings. The idea of the van is to encourage men to come in for a blood and urine test which will give some basic indicators that might require referral to their GP. |
