Read the Bulletin Online

We are having problems including all stories and photos in the bulletin.  Some stories in the second half of the bulletin are not appearing when read in an email program.
To ensure that you see everything in the bulletin, I would advise all members to read the bulletin online.   I am investigating the problem.

To read the bulletin online, just click on the sentence that appears above the bulletin banner.  The link that starts with the question... "Having trouble viewing this email.?.." and then it gives you the online link..."click here to view online" .  Click on that link, above the banner, and you will see the complete version of the bulletin.
Cheers,    Paul

Swapping - Members are reminded that it is the individual's responsibility to organise a swap. One of the best ways to do that is to check whether you are rostered on well ahead of time and contact someone who is on a market further down the track to arrange a swap

THE DROUGHT COMMUNITIES SUPPORT INITIATIVE
David Post came to the podium and spoke of the extended work session conducted on the previous Monday afternoon and evening by the DCSI Committee, made up of Ken Engsmyr (Chair) and Stuart Heriot, Tim Hutchings and Paul Murray.  David is the Chair of the Joint Districts Drought Committee and also participated in the working session.  It was the culmination of several months of work recruiting and reviewing over 430 drought assistance applications from Farmers and farm related suppliers and workers.  A total of 308  debit cards of  $3,000 each were mailed out amounting to $924,000 of Commonwealth assistance to drought declared Local Government Areas.  An additional $75,000 is yet to be allocated.

There's a new SERGEANT in town - and he bites like a Gator
Ward Gaiter came to the podium and asked us to be gentle with him as it was his first time as a sergeant.  It may have been his first time as a sergeant, but it certainly wasn't the first time in front of a crowd.  Aside from the fact that he spoke well, was prepared and gathered a considerable amount of fine money......he fined the Bulletin Editor.  Big mistake.  The Bulletin Editor always has the last word.
  • After his false and defamitory attack on the Bulletin Editor, he fined the honourable Mayor Greg Conkey for some political misadventure which we all know Greg was innocent of.
  • Then he questions the honesty of all but two members of the club regarding last week's question about ..."who had been to a strip club".
  • It got worse when he referenced friends and family of Wollunry Rotarians with the drunken debauchery of the main street
  • Then he picked on poor little Johnny Gray for being a good husband and taking Norma to lunch.
  • Other innocent victums were David Benn and the Directors of the RSL.
  • Fortunately all the abuse came to an end and he made amends with a good joke that was well received by the maligned members.
There was a cross fine from from John Flynn who had an additional joke.

FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL PROFITS
David Pyke came to the podium and spoke about the profits from the 2019 Food and Wine Festival amounting to  $39,200.  He proposed that the club Projects Committee top up the amount to an even $40,000 and the money be distributed to Country Hope.  The proposal was moved and passed.
