Today was a very interesting meeting. We began firstly with Past President Pykie trying to bring the meeting to order with a "rendition" of Rotary Grace. That worked a little, supported by the Loyal Toast. He eventually muted everyone and set about checking on travellers. Gerry Gerlach had been to Noosa and spoke happily of playing golf, lazing around the pool and generally enjoying Angie's company. No  one immediately tried to top that , until later when Doug Conkey waxed lyrical about the Sunshine Coast and wearing shorts and singlets!!
Then President James burst through the door and took over the meeting. He hurriedly checked on the status, and with a first for Wollundry we had a direct link with PP John Smith who was flying towards Goondawindee at 300km/hr. Col Duff and Mal Roberson were with him enjoying the view from beyond 4000 ft. The reception was as clear as a bell. Less noise came from the aircraft than did from Ward Gater's bar where several members congregated for a meal.
PPJohn Gray as OIC of the last Saturday Market was asked if there was any suggestion of running our market more frequently. He said no there wasn't!

A quick reminder that the Club would meet at the Riverine Club next week, and that it iss necessary to reply to John Mason that you are or are not attending, and eating or not eating. This is important as the venue supplies meals (sandwiches) and there will only be enough to match the reply.
In a brief report from the first Board meeting he also announced the the Christmas Party wouldd be held on December13th, at Mark and Chrissy Hillis' new home at Riverview. (It is behind the City Club golf course, but directions will come out soon enough )
We are reviewing our Community Budget with the situation we find ourselves in and committee lists will be published shortly.

Sophie reported that she was back at school again. Her family watched "Hamilton" which she said was fantastic.
Hopefully Sophie can give us her presentation next week.

A quick market sign roster change was facilitated with John Flynn staring at the beach, while Pat Ingram shivered and agreed to cover his role.

PP Doug Sutton is reported to have achieved 26 points in 9 holes!

With an Irish joke, President James closed the meeting at an early 1.00pm.

Meanwhile at the Duke!
