The Rotary Foundation is a stand alone charity that delivers some 98c in the $ to the causes it represents. Our own club has accessed this fund recently with aide into Africa.
It returns 50% of District Donations to the Clubs for their own local projects, and these are distributed by the Foundation Committee of the District.
The Foundation is Rotary's charity, and does not include any of the other organisations that are supported by Rotary Clubs. ARH, RAWCS, Shelterbox, ROMAC etc are all distinct from the Foundation.

Tree Planting. The planting went ahead last week and a great contingent from Wollundry joined two other clubs, Sunrise and Murrumbidgee, planting some 400 trees.
The idea is environmentally sound as trees are the lungs providing the oxygen we all need, at the same time providing habitat for native species.

Letter From Burmo.

"I am in PRC , An Hui Province  , South of Yangtze in SuSong Town,
Primarily I market school by simply walking around getting my photo taken and the private teachers hand out brochures.
Ma Yan is my long term friend and I am not paid but have an apartment near Teachers Compound .
I eat in private homes of student’s parents or at teachers home(s).
I am the only second “ round eye running dog foreign devil “ to come to this small town of 1 million. The other is Sophie , a French Lawyer, who practises out of Paris and Shanghai—- Ma Yan’s friend.I have met her.
This is the second time I have stayed here.
Although An  Hui Province was formed 1,400 years ago in Song Dynasty the people South of Yangtze are very different from those to the North eg subject of arranged marriages.
See you all in September

Burmo"
